A long overdue update

So...we are living in box-land these days because we are moving! (Again) We are purchasing a house in Sugar Hill, GA and we are very excited about it! The house is so cute and perfect for us...there are three bedrooms and two bathrooms and a nice yard for Charlie and the soon-to-come-and yet-to-be-named puppy. We are closing on the 9th of February and moving stuff in all month...so if you have extra time on your hands and extra strong muscles that like to move boxes, please let me know. I think this will be a good move for us. The time is good for buying a house and we couldn't be getting a better deal. I will try to post some pictures of it soon so that people who are in far away places (like South Korea) can see it.

Charlie is doing well; he can eat any of the vegetables now and some of the fruits. He can sit up for very long periods of time too. He is getting so big! His favorite toys right now are the ones that can go in his mouth, better yet the ones that soothe his sore gums.

I guess you could say that we are all doing well despite the economy and the scary stuff going on all around, and for that we are VERY thankful.

Charlie and his green beans

Charlie had his first experience with green beans...I'm still not exactly sure how successful it was.

A new beginning

I had started this blog and then I decided to just scratch it and start over. I am not too familiar with this site, so it is kind of difficult for me to get this thing going, but I will do the best I can.

We had a wonderful time at Christmas, we went to Mississippi and saw the Formby family down there. It was nice to get to see everyone under better circumstances than last time (my grandmother's funeral). I got to meet my new baby cousin, Leah, and everyone got to either meet Charlie or see him for the second time. He traveled really well and had a good time. He got lots of new toys for Christmas and now we are struggling to find places for them all. He really loves his new bouncy seat and as soon as I can figure out how to post some pictures I will let everyone see how excited he gets about it. He did not really understand what was going on and I think he would rather sleep than open gifts, but overall it was a really good Christmas.

Ryan and I just put a bid in on a house and we are (im)patiently awaiting an answer to all of our questions. We know that we are the highest bidder, but we have to make sure that financing goes through without any bumps. The house is in Sugar Hill, GA, which is pretty close to here. The drive to work would be shorter for Ryan and a little longer for me, but I believe that it will be worth it. It is a really cute 3-bedroom, 2-bath in a really quiet neighborhood. Missi just bought a house around the corner so she will be close by. The house is really the perfect size for the three of us, Fiona, and a puppy (Ryan is rolling his eyes at that last hopeful addition.)

Our jobs are going really well. We are in a very good place right now for our family. We are going to Browns Bridge Community Church (www.brownsbridge.org) and we all enjoy it very much. I just think it is really cool how we have been blessed recently.
